The new model comes has been known for some time, from a report back in 2010 through an official confirmation early last year. As expected, the design of the combined X4 BMW's latest styling language with the coupe-like roof line of the larger X6, offering buyers an alternative style that focuses on middle-X3 SUV.

Like the X6, the X4 will be marketed as a "Sports Activity Coupe". It will be a good deal smaller yet, share a platform with the X3-4652mm length. In front, the X4 features the same connected-to-lamp grille design used in new 3 and 4 lines of Model Series, X6-inspired bumper while the strong dominate the bottom of the face.
